From the bustling streets of Lima, Peru, to the thriving tech hub of San Antonio, Texas, our journey at VND is a testament to our unwavering passion for innovation. Born into a family of six, we, Javier and Manuel Oblitas, were raised with a strong entrepreneurial spirit, thanks to our father’s business acumen. His electronic repair shop and custom clothing store in Peru instilled in us a deep sense of curiosity and drive. Our journey in technology began when we received our first computer, a Commodore 64, in 1988. This gift ignited our passion for programming and coding, leading us to self-teach languages like assembly and Basic. Overcoming the challenges of immigration to the United States in 1995, we worked tirelessly to support our family, with Manuel managing restaurants and Javier working in tech roles. Together, we embarked on a path of self-funding our education while nurturing our shared love for technology. In 1997, our pivotal software project for ALS marked the inception of VND, propelling us into the world of tech innovation. Today, we continue our journey, transforming outdated processes, and providing innovative IT, hosting, and software development solutions as VND, a digital transformation company dedicated to making tech-driven possibilities a reality.
